Pahalgam :An Another Attack

Here, World is moving toward cooperation and trust building with harmonious trade treaties and agreement. But still there left some indecent people who wipe out humanity. The attack at Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir shocked the world as it is a selective firing on those who refuse to read Kalama(a statement affirming the belief in the one god i.e. Allah). Were is humanity going ?- Taking stalk of the viral videos on internet which clearly shows the fear on the victims face is really heartbreaking. We celebrated the 78th years of independence and 75 years of adopting constitution which guarantees the Right to Religion under Article 25 – 28 which are justifiable. Still we lagging behind with old mindsets of communalism and regionalism . India is secular nation where each religion enjoys equal right and all groups live with unity therefore it also refers as “unity in diversity’ despite we face attack on the religious  grounds which is really shocking and heartbreaking.

History ?

India and Pakistan have largely hostile relation. After partition there are many disputes between the countries like trade disputes, boundary disputes and water sharing disputes. Also, both nation have number of wars since independence the 1947 – 48 war, 1965 war, the 1971 war and the Kargil war- 1999. Pakistan kept on claiming Jammu and Kashmir as its own state and kept attacking India through insurgency and across border terrorism.

The recent Pulwama attack and the major retaliation from Indian army somehow stops these attack also abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir ,the number of attack substantially decreased.

What the Indian government doing ?

The GOI after this Pahalgam attack the very next day on 23.04.2025 adopted strict measures to condemn terror activities like to keep Indus water treaty in abeyance ,cancelling visas, closing of Atari border and Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi declared persona non grata and given week to leave the country before 1 May.

How Pakistan reacts ?

• In retaliating to Indian government steps, Pakistan also announces to take back itself as a member of SAARC grouping,
• Suspends Shimla Agreement of 1972,
• Asking Indians to leaves from Pakistan within two days.

What can be the way  forward ?

As according to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi- terrorism should not be tolerated and attackers will be punished beyond their imagination and we all follow the same spirit, and wants the same.

Whole nation wants justice to the martyrs and to each one who lose their precious life due to terrorist attack. As a citizen of India we stand with our leader or also steps to ensure peace among the two religious communities as the attackers are not Muslims they are just only terrorist who tried to divide India and creating psychological fear among the citizens we  should not get into this trap and look forward to develop a united nation.
